Under the guidance of Minister U Aung Kyi, the officials from the above Departments settled the case of disputed payments of 10 redundant factory workers, according to the law.

Khin Nyein Chan, one of the workers made redundant by Po Shwe La Garment Factory, Bago, said, "We are quite happy that everything is sorted out fairly. We felt that we were treated properly".

The intervention from the Labour Ministry came just as preparations to report the case to the International Labour Organization by the sacked workers were underway.
